Introductions

topic posted Thu, January 13, 2005 - 10:10 PM by  Tree
Hey there! Thanks for starting this group. I was really excited when Shawn told me about it. I met Paul in 2000 when I picked him up at the Portland airport and brought him up to the Kimock show in Mt. Hood. What a crazy weekend that one was!!

Nice to be here and I'm looking forward to discussions from this tribe of beautiful people.

Hi all, love the art, especially Paul's backgrounds, sorely missed at High Sierra this year.

Wish he still did shirts though...

I thought he would still do a shirt or two....but its not top prioroty anymore...so it might be a while before you got it?

or maybe he told me that cause he loves me! ;-)

Paul told me last year at HS that he no longer did shirts, but was instead concentrating on tapestries and custom dresses.

Y'all have seen Fritzie's rayon shirt?
He is wearing it in the Groove TV with Fareed Haque group. You , too can have one.
I am seeking a flowing feminine shirt to add into the mix.

I would be interested in a flowing feminine shirt.

But I also would be interested in a simple tshirt.
How do we buy Paul's stuff?

Is this for items other than tshirts? I had a friend over the weekend bring up the fact that he wanted a tshirt but wasn't sure Paul was still doing them.

I also have a pair of white cotton pants that Paul said he would do for me and this is encouraging me to send them to him for him to work on. I'll email him about it :-)

T-shirts are really hard on his old joints. He hit 40, and he's been doing this insanity for a dozen years.
But it never hurts to ask. you might need to be patient.

We are instigating a hell of a party at High sierra next year. We'd love to decorate the Tulas E Scott building with dyes and paintings and it will be our 10th wedding anniversary.

Anyone with any pull please talk up our art to the HS folks. remind them how much you love the dyes.

We do have several 6 foot circles of painting on dye think Scramble on a TDP.
we actually have a TDP Scramble collaboration of Steve Kimock.
                    The rest are all Paul.

What's up phreaks?! I haven't seen Paul since I met him in Boulder, CO @ for a couple Disco Biscuits shows in the fall of 2001. A friend of ours who was with us happened to be wearing one of Paul's tshirts. We hit it off with Paul and he took us back to this van he had that was full of his artwork! He pulled out the 10 year dye you see in my profile and handed us a flashlight to check it out, haven't seen his work before it was quite mindblowing. Being a huge fan of psychedelic art we kept in touch and even got a tshirt made for a friend of ours that following xmas. Paul would always ask when we were going to take his 10 year tapestry off his hands! To our surprise a good friend of ours procured for us for a wedding gift which to this day is one of the coolest gifts we've ever been given. His artwork is so fractal it's mindblowing if you get a chance to own a piece of his work don't pass it up there's nothing else out there like it. Was a trip that Robyn found me on tribe considering we've never met but as I said Paul's artwork is one of a kind and you can see it a million miles away. We used to go up to shows in Oklahoma and plenty of Paul tshirts around!

and, Marcus we are on at least four tribes together: kombucha, jambands, zilla (or I have been...getting off some tribes recently) and yerba mate. Paul's a FREAk for mate. I'm the 'bucha freak

I just got turned onto kombucha, I'm going to brew some soon and try it out. Been into mate for a while now, I perfer the Nativa mate, you can get it for around 10 bucks a Kilo and it's smoked with no stems! I perfer the cognitive enhancing effects of the matine vs coffee. It's been a while but I used to brew it really stout by the gallon and chill it and take shots. It's great on ice..

we like unsomoked and we get Mate Factor by the kilo. Time to go to Manitou Springs for more...
$35 but a kilo lasts, er,... 7-9 months. Paul also drinks coffee. I also drink green tea and we are getting teh sprouting up again. Then 'boucha.
GT's bottled boucha is pretty good.
